I want to be among those firmly grounded in knowledge. Firmly grounded in the Quran.
I want to be among those who live the Qur’an, in the footsteps of the Prophet (pbuh). When Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, was asked regarding his character, she responded saying his character was that of the Quran (paraphrased).
“I guarantee a house in the highest of Jannah for the one who perfects his character” [Abu Dawud]. I want that to be me.
On the day of Judgement, when Allah (swt) says recite and rise, to those entering Jannah, I want to be able to recite the Quran and reach the highest of levels, closest to the Arsh of Allah (swt).
I want to be among the forerunners, the Sabiqoon, who get to see the face of Allah (awj). I want the quran to be a light for me, a guidance. When I wake up in the morning and see the sunrise, I want to be reminded of verses from the Quran exalting the greatness of Allah (swt) and His creation.
In my every action and interaction, I want to be reminded of verses from the quran so I may be reminded of Allah (swt), and reminded that indeed He has disposed of my every affair and is looking after me.
