My life is the Qur’an, the Arabic language and the knowledge of my beautiful deen. I live pursuing all three. I sleep hearing recitation in my mind, I sometimes forget to eat due to pondering over the verses of my Lord and the words of the scholars. My dream was always to memorise the beautiful Book of Allah, and understand it. I wanted to have the honour of being crowned on the Day of Judgement due to the hifdh of my children.
Mine and my husbands focus became only Allah. Our wisdom deepened, our love for the next world intensified and our desire for knowledge increased. We were hungry and thirsty for more of this delicious gourmet meal of knowledge of the Qur’an and Sunnah. It left us satisfied, but always looking forward to more.
My household would revolve around His blessed book, it would be a priority for everyone in the home; a need rather then a must. In the future, I pray my whole family would have completed our hifdh of the Qur’an and become a family of huffadh who live by the Qur’an due to our understanding it. We’d test each other, and have regular competitions to see who can have the least mistakes in our muraja’ah (revision).
My children would become so dependant on reading the Qur’an to bring sukoon (tranquility/calm) to their hearts and minds, they would miss it if they couldn’t read their portion. We would go on to teach and pass on all the knowledge we’ve gained.
